1986 M1009 Military Surplus CUCV Chevrolet 3/4 Ton Diesel 4X4 K-5 Blazer*
I purchased this truck in March of 2010 from the military (it was a west cost National Guard truck). It was in amazing shape already, and I gave it to my GM as a well-deserved bonus. He has used it as a weekend driver, an occasional daily commuter and a beach/surf truck since then.
He now wants a Deuce-and-a-half (bit of a size trade-up;-), so I told him I would sell it for him and he could use the proceeds to purchase a truck from us at cost. He has put about 10,000 miles on it in the last year and a half.
He has never had a single mechanical problem with this rig, and since we're in the business, we have been servicing it in-house regularly. If you want an ultra-reliable work or play-horse, this is your truck for sure.
We put it in for paint a couple of weeks ago, and it is back to all original military Olive Drab (he had painted it flat black). Even though I am selling this truck for my GM, I stand behind it with my reputation 100%. Not only have we serviced regularly it like any of our other company trucks, but I had my mechanical team go completely through it like we do with every truck we purchase from the military.

The exterior is in excellent condition and has brand new Military Olive Drab paint.
No major or minor problems mechanically, and no rust or rot. A couple of minor dings and wrinkles (courtesy of the U.S. Army - not my GM or I;-). Excellent (98 to 100%) tires all around (31x10.50R15LT's).
Two Rebuilt alternators last year and a new balanced driveshaft last year as well.
Interior is in excellent condition (except the the seats, which I would rate as poor since they are in need of reupholstering if that is important to you) and is 100% original military.
Absolutely NO problems that we are aware of - and we have been completely through this truck again in the last month.
Always starts right up and runs great! Everything works!!
INTERIOR
Note that we Rhino Lined the Floorboards throughout the entire truck to make sure it was easy to keep clean after a day on the trail or in the mud;
All four (4) tires have 98% to 100% tread left, but note that the same-size spare is only around 50% tread.
Tires: Two (2) Goodyear Wranglers, one (1) Goodyear Wrangler AT/S and one (1) Trail Guide R/T M+S. The Spare is a Goodyear Wrangler.
All are 31x10.50R15 LT's
Note that the Stock Spare has only 50% Tread
It is a matching sized Goodyear Wrangler 31x10.50R15LT
No rust on any of the body. Doors, Jams and Floorboards are in GREAT shape!

We spent as much time under this truck as we did on the exterior - and it shows!
SOME MORE PICTURES
Other than the 4-inch suspension lift and the new tires and wheels, this truck is all original with no other modifications. Brakes work great and all lights work. Rear bench seat folds up or comes out to make more room for cargo.
THESE ARE THE ONLY FIVE (5) MINOR/COSMETIC PROBLEM AREAS THAT WE ARE AWARE OF;
1) There are three small to medium dings worth noting (pictures below). They could probably be fixed relatively inexpensively, but I didn't think it was a big enough issue to warrant fixing, as I am not a big fan on bodywork. But, I just wanted to make sure we pointed them out. Other than the areas pictured below, the body is extremely straight - one of the nicest I have seen in a while!!
2) There are no visors on the drivers side or passengers side. They are available at LMC Truck for $69.95, but we didn't think to replace them before deciding to take pictures of the truck and sell it. So if that is important to you, they are easy to order and easy to install (3 screws each).
3) The seats are pretty torn up, which is typical on these trucks. They can be reupholstered for about $500 for a kit from LMC Truck, but Garrett didn't mind and just painted the seats black with special vinyl paint and it has held up really well.
4) There are a couple decent-sized cracks in the top of the dash board from the sun - wanted to make sure I pointed it out. If that bothers you, you could do a dash matt for around $100, a top dash skin for around $200 or a new dash top for around $400 from LMC Truck..
5) The rear window track is bent a little. The window rolls up and down perfectly (we replaced the assembly and the handle a year ago), but half the time if you roll it up quickly it will miss the guide and you just have to pull it out a little so it stays in the track.
